Max Silver's Obituary
Max Silver was born in Vishkov, Poland on January 28, 1928. A true survivor, he persevered as his family fled from Poland to Russia and ultimately to the United States. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Carmela Lewinsky, and they raised three wonderful daughters in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.
Max always worked very hard to provide his family the life he never had. He enjoyed reading novels, debating current events, long walks on Emmons Avenue, and most especially, dancing with his beautiful wife, Carmela. He was always ready to help with a project around the house or whip up a batch of his special latkes. Max was never afraid to voice his opinion, and he imparted his strength on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Max is survived by his wife, three children, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren (with more to come). He will be deeply and forever missed.
