MELVIN ALBERT GILMAN's Obituary
Melvin A. Gilman born in Malden Massachusetts on October 8th, 1924, passed away Sunday December 22nd 2019. Mel graduated Malden High School in 1942 and in The Army serving in Biak, New Guinea as a Sergeant. Upon his return in 1946, Mel married Ruth Goldstein. Mel and Ruth resided in Malden, Medford and Lexington, MA., later moving to Boynton Beach FL. They were married for 58 years. After the loss of Ruth in 2005 and their grandson Carl S. Weinstein in 2010, Mel is survived by his two daughters Anita S. Grise and Linda E. Weinstein and cherished granddaughter Jessica G. Weinstein. During his career years in Massachusetts, Mel was founder and President of Gilman Associates receiving several sales awards from the hardware industry. Mel was an active member of his community including his service in The Shriners and at the Masonic Lodge, Loyal Order of Moose in Malden, MA. Memorial service for Melvin A. Gilman will be held 12 noon on Friday, December 27th at The Gardens Memorial Park. The family requests that donations in Mel’s honor be made to The Southeastern PA Veterans Center or Old York Road Temple-Beth AM, Abington, PA
