Michael Alan Schiffman Age 75, of Boynton Beach, Fl, passed away on July 18, 2021. Michael was originally from New York and lived many years in New Jersey before retiring to Florida. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Schiffman; s Read Obituary
Mike and I worked together many years at Guardian Life. We attended many company conferences together. (See attached photo). When my wife and I moved to Upper Montclair, NJ in 1988, we were welcomed by Mike & Ellen who lived in West Caldwell. Condolences to Ellen, his sons and daughter.

Mike hired me at Guardian Life and was extremely supportive, giving me exposure to the key people in a large company and seeing that I rose steadily with additional responsibility and a few more shekels. He was the best boss I've ever had. Mike started me off as a Trainee — eventually I became a vice president.
We traveled a lot together and he was a very funny guy with a quick wit and a gift for story telling.
I admired him tremendously and am so sorry he's left us. I remember him with a giggle and a smile and great appreciation.

Mike was a beloved counselor at Camp Schodack in upstate New York. He began "Peanut Buddy Day," a day when campers were secretly matched with other campers and then did anonymous nice things for their match throughout the day. How fitting for Mike--one of the nicest guys anybody could ever meet. May his memory be for a blessing. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
