Peter Müller
Dear Steve,
Dear family of Michael,
It is with deep sadness that we learned of Michael's sudden death.
We would like to take this opportunity to convey our deep condolences to you.
The Nûby Team Germany got to know Michael as a very cosmopolitan, always friendly person.
Michael has always shown us a lot of warmth and trust.
At such moments, episodes come to mind that are forever linked to Michael.
Peter Müller:
“How well can I remember when I had my interview with Michael.
On a Thursday morning in Cologne in 2004.
We met at 07:30 for breakfast at the Maritim Hotel with Johan Six and Francois.
2 hours before the opening of Kind & Jugend. At that time, I was still working as a key account manager for NUK.
I had memorized my résumé in surely terrible English and presented it to Michael over breakfast.
With a smile on his face, he took my excitement away and we talked animatedly about sales strategies for Nûby in Germany.
With Johan‘s and François help, of course in English.
At the end of the conversation Michael said in accent-free German: "Das haben Sie sehr gut gemacht, Herr Müller“.
I am sad and I miss Michael."
Jens Eislodt:
„Every trade fair in Cologne with Michael was an experience.
Michael always took the time to talk to me in a completely informal conversation about the development of my most important customers.
You knew that you could talk openly with Michael about all trends and ideas.
I always had the feeling that Michael was looking for solutions to my "small" problems too.
He always gave me the feeling, Jens we need you and your ideas.
I was deeply shocked by this news.“
Claudia Stabenow:
„I know Michael from many long, strenuous days at the Kind und Jugend in Cologne.
As the person in charge of the trade fair front office, I got to know Michael through many contacts with visitors to our trade fair stand.
Even in the most difficult situations Michael always had a smile on his face and was very hospitable to all visitors.
He always treated everyone, whether customers, the press, trade fair staff and of course all Nûby employees, with a great deal of respect.
Michel always had a smile or a joke ready for the front office staff.
I miss him.“
Gabi Kauer:
“I have known Michael for 24 years, always working, always dedicated.
He taught me the first steps of presenting our Nûby products at my first fair in Cologne so many years ago.
He took the time to explain everything and always with patience and kindness.
The last years, when we spoke at the fair, it was mostly about the kids. He was so proud of his children.
And he was madly in love with his grandchildren. They all meant the world to him.
I hope all the memories he has created will bring comfort in time.
Michael truly was a remarkable man, and I feel thankful that I had the chance of working with him.”
Dear Steve,
we will always keep Michael in our minds as a kindhearted friend.
In deep sorrow and compassion,
Peter Müller
