When Milly Regal - who hadn't the opportunity to attend college - accompanied her daughter to freshman orientation at University of Maryland / College Park during the mid 1980s at one event in a large conference room the students were all seated with their family member(s) at tables, Milly saw one girl - a black girl, the only one - apparently without family with her, and she went up to the girl and asked her to join her at her table so she wouldn't be alone. That's who Mildred Fins Regal was.
