SO Sad and shocked to hear this news today! Mindy and I met through personal business I had assisted her with and quickly became friends through our mutual love for our furr babies, my Gucci and her Polly (and Lily)

Mindy was the Most Gentle, Kind and Loving woman!! Her love for her daughter, her family and her precious POLLY <3 Mindy was very excited and looking forward to being a Grandma <3 I am crushed she has left the world, but I KNOW, as much as she struggled with this world, She Loved <3 Thank you for always speaking your heart, sharing your heart and making this world a brighter place to be. Mindy’s tender heart and soul are what I remember most clearly at this sad time. Mindy could always sense when others were in need and she was always ready to roll up her sleeves and help. This was true with her loved ones, human friends, and furry friends
She eagerly donated her time to the causes that were so important to her.
The world needs more Mindys, she will be deeply missed.
My heartfelt condolences to Dana, the light of Mindy’s life and to her fur baby Polly.

Mindy showed up, again and again, because she believed in doing the right thing. I knew her through voter registration drives and protests, standing side by side in service of our shared commitment to civic duty and helping Democrats make change. She didn’t just believe in democracy—she worked for it. I’m grateful to have stood with her, and I’ll carry her spirit forward every time I show up.

What do I say about Mindy, my very best friend for over 50 years. How do I narrow down all the memories, conversations, good times, sad times, countless hours, months, years we spent together.
We went to junior high school, where we met, high school and college together. I was her maid of honor and she was mine. Our marriages, our families, our children.
There is no one memory, there are too many wonderful cherished ones. She was a true best friend in every way possible. I will sum it up with her last birthday text to
me, “wishes for a very happy birthday to my dearest friend. Only the best for you. I love you so”. My last text from her was on January 26, 2026 at 11am, “stay warm and watch Netflix❤️”
I will always cherish our deep friendship and memories and will miss my dearest best friend.
