Mona Samis' Obituary
Mona Burakovsky Samis, 83 years old, passed on August 15, 2022, peacefully with her family by her side in Palm Beach, Florida. Mona was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and lived in Malmo, Sweden during her childhood. Mona came to the United States at the age of 19, where she married Donald R. Samis (preceded in death). Mona lived in West Windsor NJ, and worked as a manager in various dental offices. Her drive and work ethic were supreme and unmatched. Mona and Don were happily married for over 52 years until Don's death, March 14, 2017. Mona was the example of a devoted and loving wife. After retiring, Mona moved to Highland Beach, Florida, spending time with her family, and continued to work part time in the dental field. Mona was a mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who put her family first. Mona is survived by her three sons, daughter in laws and grandchildren: Scott and his wife Wendy Samis, granddaughter Madison Samis and her husband Jack Kirk, grandson Jason Samis; Paul and his wife Linda Samis, granddaughter Jasmyn Samis, and grandson Johnathan Samis; and her son Jeffrey Samis. Mona will be remembered by all for her big heart and generosity, and for always doing everything for her family. A cryptside service will take place on Friday, August 19, 2022 10:45am at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens 11520 State Road 7 Boynton Beach, Florida 33437. Those wishing to honor Mona with a memorial contribution are asked to consider The Jewish National Fund (Trees in Israel).
