We were young boyhood friends who lived just a few doors away from each other on Rockaway Parkway. We played some sports, games such as ringaleeveo and hide-and-seek. We climbed trees and backyard garages. We even learned to how to smoke cigarettes. Extremely pleasant memories from another lifetime.
I am deeply saddened to learn of Monty's passing, and send my condolences to the family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Lurie's passing. I fondly remember him as being such a kind loving family man who loved swimming in his backyard pool in New City so many years ago.
