Morty was a good friend and classmate at PS 161 (1942 - 1949), and after we renewed contact in the 90's. I will miss him. Jack Bluestein
I will miss my cousin Morty. We shared so many good times. He was always ready to play golf,cards,tennis etc. He was a wonderful addition to our family. Morty always had a smile for me even in the last months of his life.
My name is Victor Pena and I am a retired NYPD Police Officer, his son the late NYPD Police Officer Robert "Bobby" Grossman and I were partners for many years while we worked at the 28 Precinct, I had the privilege of meeting Morty and his wife Harriet, Bobby's mom, unfortunately at the most trying time for the family, I met them while Bobby was dealing with his illness, I spent many a day and night with Bobby, Morty and Harriet at Sloan Kettering Hospital, in essence Morty and Harriet became Mom and Dad to me, Morty was a beautiful kind loving soul, his love for Harriet, his kids and grandchildren were paramount to his existence, his love for Bobby was unconditional, I had many conversations with Morty and I found to be smart, funny and kind, a true example of a great Husband, Father and Grandfather, lastly a class act and a beautiful being, love you Dad and please give Bobby a big hug and kiss from me, Harriet and the entire family
Morty was a wonderful person and a family man. In the short time I’ve known him here at Coral Lakes, it was truly a pleasure to know him.
