Murray Zaroff's Obituary
Murray Zaroff was born in the Bronx, New York on April 10, 1931, he died peacefully in his sleep on February 28, 2023. He was surrounded by loved ones at his side, as he was throughout his 91 years.
He was the son of Max and Jenny Zaroff who arrived in America in the 1920's, and the brother of Annette. Surviving him is his wife of 30 years Judith Zaroff; four children, Nancy, Michael, Jamie (Brad) and Melissa (John) two deceased children, Michele and Stacy; seven grandchildren, Naomi, Kristin, Jade, Mason, Olivia, Johnny and Jenny; two great-grandchildren, Sadiya and Amada; a stepdaughter, Tara (Tom); a nephew, Howard (Marcie); and many friends.
Murray grew up in the Bronx, his family owned a hardware store on Mott St. in Little Italy. He loved playing football for Stuyvesant High School where he was an honor student. He was offered a full scholarship to Princeton University. Murray worked as an accountant in NY. He loved family days at the beach taking in the sun's rays. He was a runner and took very good care of his health. He adored his family and told them all the time. He appreciated life's simple pleasures. Murray was a very kind, sweet and gentle person who always saw the positive side of life. He genuinely wanted those around him to be happy and healthy. Murray's beautiful spirit and love will live on in those he touched.
