Myra Schiff's Obituary
MYRA M. SCHIFF (nee Fass), 87 of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 20, 2018. Born on November 26, 1930 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Anita Fass and was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur. She graduated from Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY and worked as a bookkeeper, floral arranger and office manager.
Myra had a lively and outgoing personality, which was reflected in her busy social calendar, vibrant wardrobe and commitment to long-term friendships. She was a long time resident of Stamford, CT where she was an active member of Agudath Sholom Synagogue. For the last 21 years she lived in Boynton Beach, FL where she enjoyed playing cards and mahjong, traveling and dining with friends. Myra especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Myra is survived by her loving and devoted children, Caryl and her husband, Steve Greatorex; Marc and his wife, Kelly; and David; her grandchildren, Nicole, Justin and his wife Katie, Brian, Micheal and Jared; and her great-granddaughter, Ava who she was overjoyed to meet. She will be sorely missed, but her spirit and memory will be passed on for generations. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Beth Israel Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach. The family will observe Shiva at home immediately following the memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Myra’s name to the American Red Cross.
