Myrna Max Rosen's Obituary
Myrna Rosen, a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Boynton Beach, Florida, at the age of 87. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Myrna lived a life defined by love, dedication, and joy.
Her most fulfilling career was co-founding an off-the-rack bridal shop, where she delighted in helping brides find their perfect dress. Later, her warmth and charm graced a small upscale boutique, leaving a lasting impression on her customers.
She found profound happiness and renewal when she married her beloved second husband, David Rosen. Together, they enjoyed traveling, socializing with many friends, and their special Friday tradition of happy hour with a glass of wine and cheese. David was embraced by the family and became a cherished grandfather to her grandchildren. Myrna and David shared nearly 30 happy years before his passing.
Myrna was a true fighter. Despite numerous health and mobility issues, surgeries, and rehabilitation periods—which often led friends and family to say she had "nine lives"—she was always determined to regain her normal life.
Myrna had a vibrant personality and cherished everyone around her. She loved playing Mahjong with friends and spending quality time with her family. After moving to Boca Raton, Myrna and David became active members of a Conservative synagogue in their community, attending Saturday morning services and enjoying the camaraderie of lunch with fellow congregants.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Robin Mandell (Jon); grandchildren, Noah Mandell (Haley) and Madison Mandell and great-grandson, Archie Mandell, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Max (Harriet), stepdaughters, Terri Nussbaum (Andy) and Nan Heiser (Bruce) and stepgrandchildren, Maxine Nussbaum, Brian Heiser and Jason Heiser.
Myrna was predeceased by her husband, David Rosen, her son, Michael Berke and stepdaughter Cindy Rosen.
Myrna will be remembered for her friendly demeanor, caring nature, unwavering positivity, and enduring strength. Her memory will continue to be a source of comfort to all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Congregation Or Shalom, 21 W Hawthorn Pkwy, Vernon Hills, IL with Shiva immediately following.
