Neil Noah Atler's Obituary
Neil Noah Atler, 77, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2020. He was born in Detroit, MI on January 26, 1943 to Goldie and Norvell Atler. Neil is survived by his wife, Phyllis, daughter, Elizabeth (aka, EB), sister, Judy Freedman, and his niece and nephew, Margo Freedman and Matthew Freedman.
Neil was a gentle, kind, and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and great uncle. He met Phyllis at a party while in high school, but they didn’t reconnect and start dating until college. This upcoming August would’ve been 50 wonderful years of marriage and even more years of dancing together whenever classics from the 60s were being played. They started a family shortly after moving down to Florida and worked together in real estate for 41 years.
Neil was a doting and engaged father to his daughter and always made sure to embarrass her as a kid by walking into her classrooms and exclaiming, “Hi, kids!" He never missed a good dad joke and kept his sense of humor until the very end.
His heart would be warmed knowing there’s been such a huge outpouring of love, support, and beautiful memories being shared. Being that Father’s Day honors all of the amazing dads out there, it was only fitting that he chose that day to leave us. He will be greatly missed.
