NOMA SCHNIER's Obituary
Noma Schnier age 97 of Delray Beach passed away on October 23rd. Beloved wife of the late Henry Schnier; Loving mother of Stanley Schnier and the late Sunny Ralfini; Cherished grandmother of Jem (Jessica) Schnier, Michael Schnier, and Nina Ralfini; Adored great grandmother of Siena, Raina, and London; Dear sister of the late Irene Dorfman; and aunt of Belle (Arthur) Jurkowitz and Bonnie Albert. Noma and her husband Henry, were accomplished musicians who performed throughout their lives, first working together during WW 2 in various Army and USO bands and continuing throughout their lives until an injury halted her musical passions a few years ago. Her perfect pitch and photographic memory turned her into a virtual living and breathing American Songbook. On her final day with us, we tried to stump her with an obscure song from the 1940’s but with her final smile, in hushed tones, uttered the very next verse. Noma was the very essence of a human songbird . May she sing with the angels.” Graveside service 11:30 am Friday, October 25 at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, Fl 33472. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
