Norma G Silverstein's Obituary
Norma Gillett Silverstein of Cleveland Ohio, Rochester New York, and Florida, passed away at the age of 95 on January 16, 2025. She is survived by her 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Norma married Fred Silverstein in 1950 and their marriage lasted 58 years until he passed away in 2008. The couple met when they were both 16 and married at the age of 20. Norma worked alongside Fred at his Deep Discount Drugstore chain. They had a very active social life and enjoyed tennis and golf and they travelled extensively. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought Norma a tremendous amount of joy in her last years. When she found out that her 16th great-grandchild was born just days before she passed, she told everyone about Oliver because she was so thrilled and proud. She was the matriarch of the family and has left a legacy of love and commitment to family that will carry on through many generations.
