Norman Galt Schikevitz's Obituary
Schikevitz, Norman Galt, 93, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away February 14, 2020. Originally born in Norfolk, Virginia, Norman moved to Washington, DC where he was raised. Norman was the third youngest of 12 children to his parents Phillip and Pearl Schilkevitz. Norman was in the United States Army Air Force stationed in Colorado during World War II. After the war ended Norman was educated at the University Of Miami and George Washington University earning a degree in Government. After marriage, Norman and his wife, Dorothy settled in Silver Springs and Potomac, Maryland to raise their children. Norman was owner of Universal Liquors on Florida Avenue in Washington, DC. Norman and Dorothy retired to Boynton Beach, FL in the early 2000's. Norman is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his 2 daughters, Ilene (Michael) Goff and Sally Schikevitz; his sisters Rosalie Kolker and Bette Belle Becker and many nieces and nephews.
