Norman Allan Steinthal's Obituary
Norman Allan Steinthal, 69, of Boynton Beach passed away Friday November 30, 2018. Norman spent his formative years in the Hilltop section of Queens. He moved to Florida from the Atlantic City area in 2007 and was an original resident of the Valencia Pointe community in Boynton Beach. A graduate of Adelphi University, Norman attained his Masters Degree from Brooklyn College and became an educator focusing on the arts, theater, and speech. He retired from Atlantic City High School as the supervisor of the Arts and English Departments. In addition to his teaching career, Norman was a beloved Theatre Director and mentor to many high school students. In his retirement he had the opportunity to return to acting onstage as well. Norman leaves his loving family, his wife of 40 years, Cheryl; children Robin Steinthal and Matthew (Shannon) Steinthal; step granddaughter Dakota; and step brothers Richard and Roger Goldberg. Chapel services will be held at 1PM on Monday December 3, 2018 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 5808 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33484 followed by interment at Star of David Memorial Gardens in North Lauderdale, FL. The family suggests that those wishing to make a contribution in Norman’s memory think kindly of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, 165 West 46th Street, Suite 1300, New York, NY 10036, www.broadwaycares.org. Norman’s favorite color was orange, and his family suggests and will appreciate that attendees at Norman’s funeral service wear something orange.
