Pamela Leslie Siegel's Obituary
Pamela Leslie Siegel; Wife, Mom, Grandma, Daughter and Sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the age of 73.
Pamela was wife to Victor Siegel and she was proud of their enduring and loving marriage of 51 years. She was daughter to Frances, who was her best friend in shopping and in life and Maurice Hyman (deceased) whom she adored. She was a loving and supportive sister to Derry Hyman (Deceased).
Pamela was wonderfully devoted to her 2 children Alysa Paige (Jerome Parsley) and Scott (Erika Siegel).
She was a loving and proud grandmother. Her true joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren; Ainsley, Abby, Miles and Noah.
Pamela was born April 30, 1946, in Bronx, NY and raised in Saddlebrook, NJ. She became a Cosmetologist at the age of 18 and met her husband Victor at the age of 22. They were married in 1968 and started their family two years later. In 1978 she moved with her husband and two children to Sunrise, FL where she was an accomplished hair colorist and the owner of Alysa-Scott hair salon…yep she really named it that.
She took pride in her Jewish faith and although, when she was a child girls did not become a Bat Mitzvah, she was very proud to do so at the age of 61. She was a member of the Board of Directors at congregation L’Dor Va-Dor where she cherished the friends she made and the sense of community it brought her. She enjoyed painting, Broadway musicals, “Murder She Wrote”, The Hallmark Channel (because what grandma doesn’t love a happy ending?) and baking challah and mandel bread for her friends and family. She relished the opportunity to celebrate any event that would bring the family together. Pamela leaves so many things undone including her grandchildren’s Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s which she’s looked forward to since they were born. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
