I'm so sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed volunteering every week in her kindergarten class while my youngest daughter, Sophia, was a student. That was 11 years ago. Patti was so passionate about teaching and cared about her students. She valued compassion as well as knowledge. I will never forget how she made sure Sophia had a first grade teacher who would appreciate her unique personality. She will be surely missed!-Dina Turecki

So sorry to hear of Patti's death. Devoted to her students, always something going on in her classroom, ready to share stories of family and listen to what was going on with yours. "Enthusiasm" is an often repeated word in these messages . How very true. Beth Frascatore

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom and I were great pals in college. We shared so many wonderful experiences and laughs together. Her friendship helped make my years at UB the happy experience it was.My favorites memory consists of the two of us sitting in the back of my future in laws' old car that had broken down on the way home from some park. We were watching our then boyfriends (soon to be fiancées) putter under the hood and remove and replace items. We just kept staring in wonderment, chatting happily away, totally sure of a happy outcome.
I am very sorry to hear that Patti was so ill and has passed. I taught kindergarten with her at Sheridan Hill for many years. At the end of the day she would often come over to my classroom and say, "Mary, I have a question." It became a standing thing between us as we would review our days and make plans together. She loved to create fun ways for her students to learn. The Cat in the Hat was a central figure in her classroom. Patti loved her family and would often talk about everyone as we walked the school hallways to get some exercise when the schoolday was over. So terribly shocking to hear of her passing. She was a great teacher who had my son Alex for kindergarten 7 years ago. He so learned to read and enjoy reading through her. Every time I see Dr Seuss I always think of her.
So sad Patti was a wonderful creative teacher. She created eager learners. I enjoyed going into her class for my weekly creative and critical think lessons. She will be missed‼️
My thoughts and prayers are with Patti's family. Patti, Sharon Greenauer, and I were all hired on the same day twenty-five years ago. We attended many school and social gatherings together. Her and Dick were always so much fun. I enjoyed working with Patti. She was so proud of her own children and her students. She was always beaming with enthusiasm and couldn't wait to share a story about something they did. I know she made a difference in the lives of so many youngsters. Patti will truly be missed.
Patti and I used to discuss our daughters and share stories of their treatment for ms. She was so happy to have a grandchild.
