PAUL BUDDY KRAVTIZ's Obituary
Paul Buddy Kravitz age 89 of Boynton Beach passed away on May 3rd. Beloved husband of Diana Kravitz for almost 60 years; Loving father of Adam (Joana-Rose) Kravitz and Randy Kravitz; Cherished grandfather of Solomon Kravitz and Sacha Kravitz; Dear brother of the late Sheldon Kravitz.
Born in Brooklyn, Paul was an avid sportsman and played football at both Poly Prep and at Boston University (where he was also a member of the ΣΑΜ fraternity and the ROTC). After graduating with a B.A. in 1953, Paul joined the U.S. Air Force, as a fighter pilot, earning his wings at Ellington AFB, and serving with the 59th FIS in Goose Bay, Labrador, and the 98th FIS.
Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge from the USAF 1956, Paul returned to New York and entered the furniture industry and became the National Sales Manager for Clayton/Marcus, a Hickory, NC – based manufacturer of traditional furniture. Paul was instrumental in establishing the brand for over 20 years and left when he moved to Florida in 1984. A private pilot, Paul moved into aircraft leasing and finance. He was appointed by the RTC to oversee the wind-down of Southeast Bank’s leasing assets and moved into small public company finance and investor relations for the remainder of his career.
In addition to flying, Paul loved boating and music (playing both the accordion and piano).
