Words can't say enough about how I feel
My name is Saul Marsh. I knew Phil mainly from the lunches that were held this year. Although I am not a home grown Rochesterian. Phil always greeted me with a friendly hello and conversation. I was not in Florida when Phil passed but my heartfelt condolences go to the entire Kaplan family
Dear Sheila and family…you have my heartfelt condolences. for we lost one of those good guys. Phil was a walking encyclopedia of Rochester who had that rare ability to ease my pain during a tough time; which I appreciate all these years later. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Sheila and family, so sorry to hear your very sad news. Our families shared so many good times, memories abound of "Uncle Phil," as well as the grown ups times. And he also was an incredible pillar of the Jewish Community in Rochester. I remember Rabbi Skopitz sharing with me that we were so lucky to have Phil helping so many of us thru difficult times – but I, of course, knew that from so many personal experiences of his professionalism and comfort.
