Dr. Levy was the epitome of a professional. He hired me and gave me the opportunity to follow in his footsteps and become Principal of P.S. 207! Dr. Levy was kind and fair to all. He was a very knowledgeable educator. He was truly passionate about what he did each and every day.He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.To his family: I am very sorry for your loss.
Growing up in Marine Park, Brooklyn, I had the absolute pleasure to have gone to P.S. 207. Dr. Levy was my principal the whole time I was there, (1980-1985) I will always remember him as a truly wonderful man. Keeping in mind it’s the memory of a kid that was 10 when he graduated. However, i do remember that Dr. Levy was respected by every person that he worked with. My thoughts and prayers go to the Levy Family in this difficult time. On a side note, I found out about the terrible news today, and I told a friend of mine a funny story from the mind of a 6 year old Kenneth Carr, from class 1-201…..I told him that back then I thought Dr.Levy was a prince!! At that age, I didn’t know what “principal” meant. I just heard the ‘prince” part. I hope the Levy family finds great comfort in that I’m not alone, and that everyone I’m still in contact with from 207, loved Dr. Levy. He was a great man, and a great educator. God bless all the Levys. May you all find comfort in that your Husband/ Father/ grandfather, had a very important hand in guiding and nurturing so many of us alumii.I think he was a prince now.
Dr Ralph Levy… PS 207… Fillmore Ave Brooklyn NYMy Principal K-6… when I think of Elementary school I think of Mr Levy and all my fine teachers. He was strict.. during assembly he would pace up and down the aisles catching those misbehaving and using his classic “you out”… and the caught kid would have to go to the office and wait for him. Lol. Luckily I was never called out… or caught!! But then he had the warmest smile and genuinely loved kids. You will NEVER be forgotten Dr Ralph Levy. Rest In Peace. God Bless. Dr. Levy was my elementary school Principal from kindergarten to sixth grade. I’m 50 so that was 44 years ago. I will never forget him. He was a fair kind man who ran a tight ship. It kept the school a safe place to go. He will forever be part of my best childhood memories. He made a difference in my life… All our lives!! I will remember him always. His classic phrase toward the rowdy kids… “You!, Out!” Rest In Peace Dr. Levy knowing you did a great job in this life and you made a huge difference for so many.
