Raymond Foer's Obituary
Raymond Foer, 89, of Boynton Beach FL and Washington, DC passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Ray was born and raised in Washington, DC. He lived there until he moved to Boynton Beach Florida in 2005.
Ray graduated from GW Pharmacy School and began his career as a pharmacist in 1957 when he opened his first stores, Mellon and Elmira Pharmacies in SE Washington DC with his brother Robert. Over the years, Ray and his nephew Michael, niece Karen, and pharmacist/friend Donald Fukuzawa, established and managed several Foer's Medical Arts Pharmacies in DC and MD. They specialized in post-mastectomy supplies, lymphedema therapy, and compounding customized medications. He was a well-respected member of the community. He stayed very involved in managing his stores even after he moved to Florida. He also enjoyed cruising to the Caribbean, watching any and all sports, and continued to cheer for his beloved Redskins for many years.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Nina, his daughters Dana (Craig), Susan (Steve), and Debby (David); stepchildren Glenn (Corina), Allyson (Michael); grandchildren, Victoria (David), Nicholas, Alex, Brock, Brooke (Michael), Madeline (Jacob), Ryan, Aharon (Aviva), Ariella, Daniel; and two great-grandchildren Caroline and Shayna.
Services will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Delray Beach, FL on Friday August 4 at 11 a.m. Immediately following, a private burial service will take place for family members only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
