Me and Richie went to see the Grateful Dead in Rochester NY1976.It was the best dead show I have ever seen, out of 100 plus shows. We both witnessed them play a show that few others saw, a portal to another time. We shared a mystical experience few would understand or believe, and I don't care. But it happened and we both knew it. . I hadn't seen him all night, after the show he saw me and he ran towards me in excitement the parking lot. He picked me up off the ground, spun me around and round, and named half a dozen songs he saw them play. I saw the same show too! None of it was on the tape that came out a few days later. We watched them play the same songs- the eleven, doin that rag, smokestack lightning, that's it for the other one. These songs were songs they hadn't played since the 1960's. We shared an epic mystical journey. That show aside, Richie was one of nicest, caring few truly great people I have encountered during this long strange trip of mine (LIFE). Still miss him a lot, and hope to see him again somehow, somewhere. Miss you Berets. 2/2026
