Richard S. Katz's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Katz was born in Providence, RI on June 15, 1937. Richard resided in Manchester, NH for 62 years until moving to Boynton Beach, FL in 2007. He died on October 8, 2019 in Boynton Beach, FL following a brief illness. Richard was married to the love of his life, Nancy for over 55 years. Family members include his son Jeffrey (Eleni) Katz of Schnecksville, PA and his daughter, Randi of Parrish, FL. Other family members include his wonderful grandchildren Collin and Jackie Katz.
Richard graduated from Central High School in Manchester, NH in 1955 and from The University of New Hampshire in 1959. He was the owner of Robards Flooring in Manchester from 1964 – 1989. Robards was a family operated business which opened in Manchester, NH in 1945. Richard was then the president of M.D. Inspection Services from 1989 – 2017.
Richard was known for his quick wit, sense of humor and for being an avid New England sports fan. He was a member of Lafayette Bible Lodge No. 41 of Goffstown, NH and the Bektash Shriners of Concord, NH.
