Richard Nagler's Obituary
Dr. Richard Nagler, age 95 of Boca Raton, FL passed away on May 15. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan, loving children Robert (Cheryl), Gary (Elizabeth), Mark (Barbara) and loving grandchildren Samantha, Jessie, Stephanie, Andrew, and Jeffrey.
Richard was born on May 1, 1930 in Long Beach, NY and was the only child of Jess Nagler, a Dentist, and Julia Glass, a world renowned concert pianist.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and then NYU Medical School. He was a Captain in the US Army, and after medical training at Yale University, cofounded a very successful medical practice in Huntington, NY and held the position of Chief of Medicine at the Huntington Hospital.
He was beloved by his patients as well as his peers who were all universally disappointed by his retirement in 1993.
In retirement, Richard lived a rich, full and active life. He stayed engaged in the field of Medicine by lecturing, and writing a monthly medical column for a publication. He had many wonderful friends and passionate hobbies, and was married to Susan, the love of his life for 69 years. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
