I just tried calling Rita to wish her a Happy Chanukah and both phones were disconnected. I am completely heart broker that my darling friend of over 30 years is gone. I first met her on an airplane to Spain. She sat next to me and by the end of the flight she knew my life story. So caring, compassionate, smart and lovely. My life is more enriched knowing her. I will miss her tremendously. Rest in peace my darling friend. Love, Love, Love

The thing that I’ll always remember about Rita is how much fun she was to talk to. She was smart, modern, and cheerful and I always walked away thinking about what a cool lady she was. She and I didn’t see each other often but I feel like there’s a hole in the world without her.
