Robert Alan Friedman's Obituary
Bob’s passion was electric and profound. He was one half of a love story that started on the Brooklyn D Train and grew more powerful as it kept traveling. His romanticism was equally matched by his magnetism. If you were among the lucky to have met him you know— he created worlds. Worlds of happy-go-lucky good times filled with music as loud as it could go and food deliciously executed. He was an inventor of culinary creations that punctuated decades for children and families all across the country. His crown jewel was Boboli Pizza, which he named after himself, and would playfully remind people of its proper pronunciation, BOB-oli.
He was diagnosed with FTD then ALS in the past decade. Up until the very end he was laughing, loving, doing donuts in his powerchair. We promise to prank your friends at least one more time for you and listen to the Grateful Dead as loud as the volume can go.
Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bonnie Friedman, his daughter Tracey Friedman, his brother Earl Friedman, his mother Lita Friedman, his mother-in-law Judith Zuckerman, and pre-deceased by his daughter Randi Friedman and his father Irving Friedman
