Robert B. Krause's Obituary
Robert (“Bob”) B. Krause, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 11, 2023. Bob was born in New York City on September 22, 1934, to Arthur and Pearl Krause and moved with his family to Baltimore, Maryland. Bob graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and from Drexel University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He earned a master’s degree from Florida State University. Bob started his career with the Bendix Corporation in Baltimore and then transitioned to NASA at Kennedy Space Center. While at NASA, Bob supported the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs during a career spanning over 35 years. Bob was an avid baseball fan and coached Little League baseball for 8 years. Bob and his wife of 65 years, Marlene, retired to Boynton Beach, Florida where they have lived for the past 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Levine) Krause; sister Carol Fink; daughter Lori (Elliott) Brown and granddaughters Arielle Brown and Samantha Brown; son Alan (Amy) Krause and granddaughters Emily Krause and Jennifer (Broderic) Abshire.
Graveside service is on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 12:15 pm at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 FL-7, Boynton Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, www.kidneyfund.org or the American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org.
