Robert "Bob" Schnur's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Schnur, 77, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025.
He was the son of Harry and Evelyn and the brother of Debbie and Shelley Schnur. Bob was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Hempstead, New York. He attended Hempstead High School and then attended college at the University of Miami.
Bob made his home in South Florida beginning in 1966. He then met Marlene Greenstein at a religious social event. They were married for over 50 years. He dedicated 35 years of service to Miami Dade County Public Schools, shaping the lives of countless students.
Bob was an avid bocce player and enjoyed thrifting and garage sales. He loved vacations with his family and going on cruises.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marlene, son Harris (Vanessa) Schnur, son Mitchell (Merideth) Schnur, and his daughter Erin (Geoffrey) Savett; grandchildren Garrett, Frankie Parker and Jacob. Sister Debbie (Marc) Weiss and sister Shelley Snyder. Brother-in law Alan (Cindy) Greenstein, and sisters-in-law Lee Greenstein and Leslie Greenstein.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 22nd at 10:15 a.m. at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 5808 W Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33484 followed by Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Rd., Boynton Beach, FL.
