Robert Siegel's Obituary
Robert R. "Bugsy" Siegel, 92, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on January 1, 2024 following a brief hospitalization. He was the husband of the late Norma (Rubenstein) Siegel. They had been married for over 50 years.
Robert was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph and Pauline (Newman) Siegel. He attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He served his country as a member of the United States Army, stationed in Korea in 1953. He was employed by General Electric and later owned and operated his own furniture business for 12 years. He had been a self-employed real estate appraiser for the last 23 years of his life.
Robert was an avid reader. His favorite author was Robert Ludlum. He also enjoyed watching movies, telling jokes, eating Italian food, and cheering on the New York Yankees.
He leaves his children, Joseph Siegel of Smithfield, RI, and Donna Siegel of Lake Worth, Florida. He is also survived by brother Leon, of Boynton Beach, his sister in law Elaine Streger, a brother in law Harold Rubenstein, and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Sunday January 7th at 10:15am at the Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach. A service with military honors will follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Boys Town of South Florida and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
