Roger Elie Bukszpan, beloved husband of fifty years of Maxine, loving father of David and Amy, and cherished brother of Albert, passed away at age 75 at his home in Pompano Beach on Friday, June 25, 2021. Roger was born in Alexan Read Obituary
M. Bukszpan was an amazing educator, and a fantastic person. His French lessons, his sense of humor, and the culture and cuisine he introduced us to, have stayed with me for my entire life, and I wouldn't be the person I am today had I not had him as a teacher at 141. I think of him often and I'm deeply saddened by his passing. My deepest condolences to his family, especially Mrs. Bukszpan, who was also a great teacher.

Monsieur Bukszpan was my French teacher at M.S. 141 in the Bronx 23 years ago. As a testament to the impression he left on his students, he randomly popped into my head today and I did a quick Google search out of curiosity. Saddened to hear that he is no longer with us, but to all his family and friends, know that he touched the lives of countless young people across NYC, and that his teaching efforts (and his terrific sense of humor) will never be forgotten. Roger was a wonderful person, father, husband, and friend. I’m so happy to have know Roger and to have been fortunate to be a part of his family. Roger was such a talented artist and performer, creating the most amazing birthday puppet shows for David and Amy, that thankfully are immortalized on film. I always loved hearing a joke from Roger, talking about music, art, films, or having him give us a ride in his sporty Ford Probe! Really going to miss you but know your Enegry and memories will always be with us!

My heart goes out to Maxine, Amy, and David. Roger was an absolute joy who was always quick to tell a joke (oftentimes in French) and could be found at the center of any party. I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures of him as it captured him being so silly and so full of joy. He will be missed immensely.
I was a neighbor to Roger, Maxine & the children. I will always remember him as a good & kind man. I also remember that he often told really corny jokes. He will be missed.
