ROSALIND GOLD's Obituary
Rosalind “Roz” Gold, 79, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021. Rosalind was born on February 13, 1942 in New York, NY to Jacob “Jack” Lazar and Gertrude (Schwartz) Lazar.
Rosalind grew up in Forest Hills, NY. After graduating from Forest Hills High School, Roz began working at Columbia Pictures in New York City where she met Ralph Gold. Afterward Roz was eventually employed by OTB (Off Track Betting) where she became a union steward.
Rosalind married Ralph Gold in 1962 in New York. They were happily married for 57 years. Roz enjoyed playing Mahjong with friends, participating in book club, and spending time with her family. She absolutely adored her grandchildren.
Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob “Jack” and Gertrude, her brother, Michael, her husband, Ralph, and her son, Adam Neil.
Roz is survived by her daughter, Erin Gold Phillips (Neil), her sisters, Doris Lazar Hirsch (Jack), Ronnie Lazar, her Daughter-in-Law, Deborah Ellison Gold, her grandchildren, Savannah Gold and Sydnee Gold, as well as her nieces, nephews and other relatives.
