SALLY DIAMOND HOFFMAN's Obituary
Sally Diamond Hoffman, age 89, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on November 5, 2018. She was the loving wife of Julian Herbert Diamond and Harry Hoffman, who predeceased her, the devoted mother of Allan Brent Diamond (wife Sharon) of Houston, Texas, and Arlene Diamond Butler (husband Richard) of Boynton Beach, Florida, the loving older sister to Murray Lash (deceased) and Esther Brachfeld Glass (husband Leo), and the doting grandmother of Jarrett Butler, Jenna Allison Diamond, Bria and Brent Butler.
Sally was devoted to and cherished all of her extended family. Her sister-in-law, Rosalie (husband Marty) was as close as a sister, as was her sister-in-law Claire. She dearly loved all of her many nieces and nephews who were just as much a part of her life as anyone could be. She is also survived by her brother in-law, Marvin.
Of her many passions, music topped the list. She was an accomplished lyric soprano having attended the prestigious Brooklyn Academy of Music, the oldest performing arts center in the United States, where she trained in opera. There was not a day in her life that she was not listening to music on the radio, CD’s, music apps or otherwise actually singing, whether in south Florida musical theatre groups later in life or just around the house with family. She brightened up every room she entered and was adored by all. The love to her family was unconditional. While our hearts are sorrowful, they are eternally uplifted by Sally’s eternal song and zest for life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
