She is also survived by her eldest daughter, Marsha Horovitz of Boston, Massachusetts. Grandchildren: Alexandra (Horovitz) and Jay Featherston of Norwalk, CT; David Horovitz and Emily Horovitz of Princeton, New Jersey. She also had three great-grandchildren: Maxwell Featherston, Audrey and Benjamin Horovitz.
I will never forget visiting with Auntie Sandy after a health scare. I was so timid to see her, in what condition would I find her? Auntie Sandy threw open the front door with a full face of make up and a stunning outfit. She smiled her winning smile and pulled me into her home. There was no keeping her down, she loved life too much. There was no talk of her, that was Auntie Sandy, she wanted to hear about you. To have been loved by this beautiful soul was to know what true love felt like. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing.
