Sandra Eastman's Obituary
Sandra Eastman 82 of Boca Raton FL. Wonderfully passionate for family, friends, art and world travel, Sandi spent her childhood in Philadelphia and Margate NJ, & raised her family in Millburn-Short Hills, NJ. Her beloved husband of 37 years, Martin, predeceased her and she married Melvin Hootstein in 2005, who died in 2014. Vivacious and active, Sandi traveled the world and was on a Caribbean cruise with three friends at the time of her death. Survived by 2 daughters, Beth and Karen, she was also the loving grandmother of four girls, mother-in-law, grand mother-in-law to her grand daughter’s husband, and a new great grand daughter. A supporter of Israel, B’nai Brith, Hadassah, Israeli Tennis Centers and a loyal fan of the Miami Heat, she also loved reading, raising orchids and knitting. She was active at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton, & a member of the Boca West Club since 1977. She recently volunteered to call voters for the last election as a staunch Democrat. Sandi attended Penn State University. Industrious and savvy, Sandi had three successful careers, starting as a partner in her husband Marty’s clothing business, and later as a top-producing real estate agent until she found her true passion, when she became a travel agent. She was a an associate agent with Valerie Wilson Travel International was renown as a travel advisor, being a world traveler herself, including numerous safaris to Africa, tours through Asia, The Mediterranean, Europe and the Middle East. Donations can be made to any local Alzheimers fund or a charity of your choice. She was known for planting trees in Israel and that was one of her favorite tributes to make for others. Funeral services will be held 1 pm on Friday Dec.21, 2018 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapels, Boynton Beach, FL. Sandi loved living in South Florida and cherished her many friends all over the world.
