Sandra Lehman's Obituary
Sandra Lehman, age 91 of Deerfield Beach, FL, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Sandra Lehman grew up in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn NY where she enjoyed Coney Island and the beach with her now deceased siblings- twin sister Sylvia (David) Goldstein and brothers Bobby and Herbert (Charlotte) Orenstein. She graduated Long Island University and worked as a Medical Assistant for a plastic surgeon for 20+ years. She was married to Allen Baron briefly and joyfully had their daughter Linda. She remarried the late Maxwell Lehman and enjoyed a full life with him traveling and snow-birding between New York and Florida. She was the President of the Royal Plantation of ORT when she lived in Davie during the mid-70s. She also volunteered for the Make A Wish organization. She moved to Deerfield Beach in the early 90s and her writing skills began to fly. She published two books- Flea Market Adventures and Poems, Stories With Rhyme & Reason. She taught a Writers Workshop, teaching others how to publish their own books. She was an Associate Editor of the CVE newspaper, as she was a constant contributor of her poems. Several years after her beloved “Mike” died, she started a Singles Club called the Jetsetters in her community. She was a fun-loving, happy lady that enjoyed her family, friends, and life.
Sandra is survived by her loving daughter Linda (David) Zimmern, and her beloved grandchildren, Evan Zimmern and Alec Zimmern .She loved and is also survived by niece Ruthie (Patsy) Fierro, nephews Ricky (Delores) Kaiser, Mitch Kaiser, Gary (Helane) Kaiser and Donnie (Kim) Orenstein.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 5808 West Atlantic Avenue Delray Beach, FL 33484. Entombment will follow at The Gardens of Boca Raton, 4103 N Military Trail Boca Raton, FL 33431.
