Mrs. Rubin...always MRS. RUBIN to me, was one of a kind. The sweetest woman who gave advice freely, and always on point. I spent many days at the Rubin house in high school. My mom was dealing with her recent cancer diagnosis, and I found happiness at the Rubin house, while dealing with the emotions of my mother's diagnosis. Mrs. Rubin was much like the song TO SIR WITH LOVE....taking me from wearing a baseball cap, to wearing a prom dress. It was an ongoing joke as I lost all my tomboy ways. She is forever in my heart, and I thank her for some of the best memories during those high school days. Rest peacefully, sweet lady!
