Sandra Ruth Schultz's Obituary
Sandra Schultz, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Newton, MA, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the age of 85. Born Sandra Ruth Rosenthal and raised in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Nathan Rosenthal. She is survived by her sister, Lois Mann.
Sandy shared 62 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dr. Gerald Schultz, and her four children: Michael Schultz (wife Cathy), Marilyn Miller (husband Kevin), Rachel Squier (husband Chase), and Joan Buyce (husband Brad). She was the cherished grandmother of Marc and Max Schultz; Jared and Drew Miller; Jack and Hannah Squier; and Sam, Zach, and Lena Buyce.
A graduate of Newton North High School and Lesley University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Sandy began her career teaching fifth and sixth grades in Stoughton and Arlington, MA. She and Gerry were married in 1963 in Boston, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with family and adventure.
Sandy was active in the Newton PTA, coached youth soccer, and volunteered at Temple Emanuel. Later, she managed Gerry’s dental practice, until their retirement and then relocated to Boynton Beach, FL, where they’ve resided for 21 years.
She loved biking, cooking and traveling with Gerry to locations including Africa, Iceland, Hong Kong and many of the U.S. National Parks. She embraced life in her community, enjoying shuffleboard, bowling, tennis, and canasta, and above all else she treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Defined by her warmth, dedication, adventurous spirit, positive energy, Sandy had the ability to make every person feel valued. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel (Boynton Location) at: 1115 Jog Road Boynton Beach, FL 33437.
Interment will be held privately by the family at 10:00am on Monday, April 27, 2026 at South Florida National Cemetery at: 6501 South State Road 7 Lake Worth, FL 33449.
