Alan Mckenzie
Scott loved to ride his alpine snowboard. He came to a gathering of riders held in Aspen, in early February each year, a number of times. He made many friends, from all over the world, while we carved, ate and talked together. I watched as his skills grew and he became a confident rider of ever steeper slopes. But what I remember most is his smile, his enthusiasm, his enjoyment in riding on his snowboard, and his gentleness, kindness, and humility. I had been looking forward to spending time with him again when the news of his death was posted on the Bomberonline Forum, a place where alpine snowboarders from all over the world meet. Lisa, Cassie, and Rikki, although we have never met, thank you for sharing him with us. Alan McKenzie, New Zealand.
