Lori Friedman
Born in Middletown, CT in May of 1931, Dr. Ziggy (as he was affectionately known) and his family lived primarily in Simsbury, CT until he and his wife Selma retired and moved to Florida in 1996. He was proud to have served as a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his family, his passions included music, education, his work, and the Masons. Two of his most cherished personal accomplishments were obtaining a Ph.D. in Management, summa cum laude, in 1987, and attaining the extremely rare rank of a 33rd degree mason several years ago. This honor is conferred upon men who have been outstanding in their contributions to Freemansonry, the Scottish Rite, or who have shown exceptional leadership in their communities. In addition to Selma, his wife of almost 59 years, he leaves his daughter Lori (Dedham, MA); his son Ken (Mt. Laurel, NJ); his brother Phil (Holliston, MA); his brother-in-law Al Elkin (Boynton Beach, FL); five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
