Shana you were always a beam of sunshine when I think about the times we spent together in high school. You had a way of making everyone you came across feel comfortable and once they got to know you find the humor in the little things in life. As life moved on we drifted apart but I’m sure you touched many in this way. Keep shining bright up there for us. Sending love and light to your little boy, your family, and all those you’ve touched over the years.
Shana brought light to my life when I was in a dark and lonely place. I feel so lucky to have known her and spent time with her. We always had fun! From watching Adventure Time to seeing her get my design tattooed on her arm to pool days, my memories of her are full of laughter and joy. I was always smiling when she was near because her smile was absolutely infectious. My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends. She was a beautiful, hilarious, encouraging human and will always be a big part of my heart. I love you always, Shanabobana.

Some of my best childhood memories are with Shana, and I will always hold those memories close to my heart. We had so much fun playing with our dolls and beanie babies, walking random neighborhood dogs (because our parents wouldn’t get us dogs of our own), jumping on the Mullens’ trampoline, and playing “hide and seek in the dark” in the basement. There was a particularly terrifying time when we locked ourselves in an old wooden trunk, and Colin needed to run and find my mom to release us from the dark, confined space we caught ourselves in. Shana, you will be sorely missed and I will never forget you.
Shana was my nugget/best friend. I’ll never forget the first time I met her in Florida. We remained close since that day. All the changes life put us through between jobs, relationships, moving, etc we always made it a point to see each other/keep in touch. I spoke to shana almost everyday. Whenever we were together we were obnoxious, loud, and laughing. She introduced me to her entire family which i felt so blessed to ever meet. Her family is a bunch of loving, non-judgmental individuals who always made me feel comfortable. I’ll never forget shana and i still talk to her, just in a different way now. I love her so much and will continue to carry all the memories we created through out my life feeling extremely grateful i ever had the privilege of knowing someone as beautiful/caring & loving as her. I love you forever and always my precious nugget.
I am so shocked and saddened to hear and am sending so much love to your family. I remember so many sleepovers and good times in fifth grade and through all the awkward times that were middle school. Notably when she and Laura and I rushed to kohls for matching shirts for a mortifying “partner dance” for PE class and our joint 13th pool party birthday that was a great time. Shana was a kind person, and a good friend. I know she will be so, so dearly missed.
Dave and I have started, crossed out, and restarted our attempts to write this tribute. It's impossible to find the right words. So, we decided to start at the beginning of our friendship. You moved into the neighborhood in 1998, one year after we did. We were so excited that you had a daughter Laura's age. They instantly became great friends, and through that friendship, we developed our own deep and enduring friendship. We enjoyed so many holidays around your pool, happy hours, and many highs and lows of life. We have memories of Shana as a young child, a young teenager (horrified at the Dads' hula parade at a joint 13th birthday party), a young adult, and a devoted, loving mother. We are heartbroken for you and the family. We hope that your memories bring lasting comfort.
This is the only photo I have of you and that makes me sad. But it’s nothing short of all the memories that was created together. I’m extremely awkward when it comes to these things but I will always remember the fun amazing times we all had together in our young years. My condolences to the family!
