Dear Mindy, Robin, and Billy,

So sorry to learn of your mom's passing. Living together as kids on Lakeview Drive, we had a lot of opportunities to be together. I remember eating dinner at your parent's house during snowstorms and many backyard gatherings. Also, the trip we took together to Florida at the Beau Rivage stands out in my mind.

Our parents shared a lifelong friendship. Our moms talked endlessly on the phone (wall phones with cords) while drinking multiple cups of instant coffee and our dads had similar business interests and even times when they worked together.

I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you all during this difficult time.

Dear Robin and Mindy and the Family,

My heartfelt condolences on your mom, Sheila’s, passing. I’ve known your parents ever since I moved to the Hamlet 20 years ago. They were both wonderful people, your dad the bravest of warriors in his contest with ALS, and your mom his most loving and stalwart supporter.
Your mom was much loved and admired by those who knew her. She was a loyal friend, a terrific cook and hostess, a lover of the arts, a keen intellect, a woman unafraid to ask questions and speak her mind, (though always in the softest manner), a proud mother and grandmother, and the most spectacular of wives. I join you in grieving her loss.
