Sheila Weingarten, a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025. She was 89 years young, having been born on December 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York.
Sheila was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Martin, and a loving mother to her three children: Michele, Larry, and Tina. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her strength and love into creating a nurturing home. She was also a cherished grandmother to her grandsons, Christopher, Erik, and Dylan, who brought immense joy to her life.
Life presented Sheila with challenges, but she met them with unwavering determination and resilience. A talented and self-taught artist, she possessed a creative spirit that found expression in various artistic styles. Recognizing her passion and talent, Sheila bravely embarked on a business venture, establishing
"Sheila's Personalized Occasions." For two decades, she dedicated herself to this endeavor, transforming her artistic gifts into a means of supporting her family.
Sheila stepped up to be the primary earner, working tirelessly and without complaint, driven by her love for her family and her genuine enjoyment of her craft. Her clients held her in high regard, consistently delighted and inspired by her unique and heartfelt artwork.
Beyond her artistic pursuits and entrepreneurial spirit, Sheila embraced the simple joys of life. She had a deep appreciation for a good meal, found immense pleasure in laughter and loved nothing more than to dance and sing. Her vibrant personality and infectious zest for life touched all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Sheila's life will be held at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 16th, at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sheila's memory to the Dementia Society of America, an organization close to their hearts.
Sheila's legacy of love, hard work, and artistic passion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her strength, her creativity, and the unwavering love she shared with those around her.
