SHELLEY BRENNER LaFAUCI's Obituary
Shelley Brenner LaFauci, 69, of Delray Beach, FL (formerly Rockville Centre, NY) passed away in her home on Friday April, 20th, 2018. Shelley was born Feb. 20th, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Joseph Brenner and Selma Small. Shelley is survived by her loving fiancé Larry Levenberg, son Greg LaFauci (Aoife Pacheco), daughter Kim LaFauci (Matthew Jozwicki), Granddaughter Lily Marie Pacheco LaFauci; and brother Steven Brenner. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Shelley loved teaching and spent 31 years working in the Rockville Centre school district. She remains a favorite teacher of hundreds of former students. Shelley enjoyed being around people, watching movies and shows, taking continuing education courses, and keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends. She always knew how to make people smile and laugh, and took great joy in doing so. Shelley supported many charities including Memorial Sloan Kettering, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, World Vision, Operation Smile, and selflessly volunteered to make end-of-life better at Vitas Hospice by the Sea.
The family will be holding services in honor of her memory at Gutterman’s Funeral Home of Rockville Centre, NY on May 13th at 4 pm.
