Although Diana and I had taught high school together it was a wonderful surprise when we learned that Sherman and Diana had bought an apartment right across the street from us in the Eastgate section of Hunters Run.
We developed a social/family style relationship with the Kroops and we had Rosh Hashanah dinners together with the Kroops and our children and grandchildren.
Sherman was an outstanding athlete and he shared his athletic ability with our grandchildren who referred to him as "Uncle Sherman".
We will all miss Sherman's bright smile and warm personality.
May his memory always be a blessing
