SHERRIE SIGNE GOLDSMITH's Obituary
Sherrie Signe Goldsmith age 65 of Lake Worth passed away on November 23rd. Sherrie passed on following a long series of challenges to health. Sherrie was 65 years old and still working at her company the Sunshineapproach. Sherrie was a strong, intelligent ,kind angel. Her mom once told me that I did not know how good of a person she really was .But after our marriage of 42 years I do know how special she really was. Sherrie leaves behind her sister Stephanie Pamela Kopp(Chrein) and her husband Charles Kopp, aunt to Howard and Robert Goldsmith and great aunt to Leah Angelina Goldsmith and Franco Gabriel Goldsmith. Sherrie was sister-in-law to Rachelle and Barry Goldsmith. Sherrie was the daughter of Annette Lustig and Jerome Chrein and cousin to many Chrein,Lustig,Kleiner,Schlesinger Schwimmer ,Goldsmith, Geier, Kaplan ,Mass and Fingers.
Sherrie was a multifacited person. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield on New York,New Medicao Rehabilitation,the Center for Rehabilitation,President of the Florida Stay at Work Consortium,contributor to the Safety Council of Palm Beach, and the Women's Chamber of the Palm Beaches.She was a Hebrew School Teacher at Beth Tikvah Jewish Center , and was most proud of her development of her own business The SunshineApproach as a Risk and Marketing Strategist.
Sherrie had a long standing relationship with the OCPBC of Palm Beach County ,RIMS of Palm Beach ,Broward and Miami,Southeast Chapter of PRIMA,nterntional Association of Rehabilitation Professionals,Broward Association of Rehab nurses,and a member and presenter for the WCCP organization. She was a long time participant at the Worker's Compensation Institute in Orlando and was planning to return there in December. Many nurses ,case managers, and workers compensation professionals would look forward every year to Sherrie's Sunshineapproach February seminars. Sherrie was also an ombudsman for Managed Care for PBC. and a contributing Editor for the case Managers Handbook.
Sherrie's charity work included the Safety Council of Palm Beach County, Trees for Israel, the Giraffe Awards at the Women's Chamber of the Palm Beaches, Muscular Dystrophy , and the SOS Children's Village of Coconut Creek, Florida, and Give Kids the World, Kissimmee, Florida
Sherrie's hobbies included puzzles, traveling, crosswords, and many computer games like Candy Crush.
Sherrie had an MHM from St. Thomas University-Miami, FL ,1987 and a BS ,Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY 1978
She was loved by many and we will all miss her very much.
