I didn't have any contact with Aunt Shirley while I was growing up, but we made up for it much later, after she was living in Delray Beach. We spoke fairly regularly on the phone, more so after her sister (my mother) passed away. Shirley provided me with family history and stories about my grandparents that I will always treasure. We were able to visit on a handful of occasions; the last time was a few days in April. I am very glad we got that last visit in! Shirley gave me a couple of her paintings (she was quite talented) and I will think of her every time I see them.
