Shirley Wolfe's Obituary
Shirley Wolfe (née Fishman) of Delray Beach, FL passed away at the Delray Medical Center
hospital on January 17, 2025.
She was born October 20, 1928, in New York, NY to Louis and Yetta (Taxer) Fishman who
emigrated from Russia. She was the oldest of three children. She attended schools in both
New York City and the Boston, MA area. She married Lawrence S. Wolfe in 1950. They
raised their children in Sharon, MA where she made many lifelong friends.
When her husband retired, they moved to Boynton Beach, FL. For the past six years, she
has enjoyed making many new friends at Abbey Delray South in Delray Beach, FL. She is
survived by her sister Nancy Stone of Boca Raton, FL; brother-in-law Earle (Barbara) Wolfe
of Palm Desert, CA; brother-in-law Joel Berman of Hingham, MA; her son Kenneth (Gayle)
Wolfe of Bow, NH; her daughter Marcia (Steve) Savoy of Plymouth, MA; grandchildren Jodi
(Jayson) Vallee, Hannah (Kyle) Doherty, Eric Savoy and Stephanie Savoy; and great-
grandchildren Amelia, Rowan, Liam, Jack, and Edwin.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Lawrence Wolfe, her brother Seymour
(Nate) Fishman, and her sisters-in-law Muriel Fishman and Carole Berman
She was an accomplished bridge player. In her slightly younger days, she loved playing golf
and won her club championship at Thorny Lea Golf Club while living in Massachusetts. She
also enjoyed traveling, going to the theatre, reading, history, and playing canasta. Most of
all she loved visiting with family and friends.
She was the epitome of elegance and grace and will be dearly missed by all who knew and
loved her.
