Sidney "Sid" Feinberg's Obituary
Sid Feinberg of Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 after a very brief illness. Sid was born on Christmas eve to Elsie and Max Feinberg and became a baby brother to his sister Beatrice. He grew up in the Bronx, NY and there he attended local schools. Sid joined the army at age 17 and became a paratrooper completing jumps in the 11th Airborne Division. He was so proud of this and shared many stories of his paratrooper days. He soon met the love of his life Harriet, and they married three years later in 1951 at the age of 22. They relocated to Spring Valley, NY and there created numerous fond family memories. In 1973, Sid and Harriet bought a beautiful home in Pomona, NY which he said “was his favorite home” with breathtaking mountain views driving into the neighborhood. He said he looked forward to this scenery daily. Sid had a career that spanned many years in sales and he enjoyed his job selling tools as Mr. Tools in his red tool truck with the sounds of clanging and banging as he drove. His children and kids in the neighborhood enjoyed occasional trips around the block sitting on the huge dashboard. In 1976, Sid and Harriet relocated to Coral Springs, Florida and shortly thereafter started an advertising specialty business which they named Unique Advertising Specialties. He started this business on a small bridge table in their bedroom with Harriet, then to garage space in their house and soon thereafter, opening an office with a huge showroom and conference room to accommodate their thousands of samples and many clients. Sid (and Harriet) built this business into one of the most outstanding advertising specialty companies in the United States working day and night, attending many conferences throughout the years and being recognized as top producers in the industry. Sid retired in 1995 and he and Harriet moved to Boynton Beach where they began a very active lifestyle in their community, participating in many, many shows, singing and dancing the night away and he loved performing magic which he learned at the magic club. He had a knack for telling hundreds of jokes, some clean, many not so much and somehow always remembered every punchline without hesitation. He was a star studded karaoke singer. He traveled the world with Harriet for three decades and always gave back to the community. He was a gentleman, a kind, caring and giving person always there to lend a hand. His family came first and his children, grandchildren and great granddaughters brought him immeasurable joy. Sid loved a good party.
Sid was preceded in death by the love of his life Harriet Feinberg one month shy of their 71st wedding anniversary and his grandson Joshua Feinberg the year prior. He is survived by his loving daughters and their spouses, Jill Blum (Gary) Lynne Weinstein (Jess) Socky Feinberg, his adoring grandchildren Elissa Stall, Alyson Stall (Keegan), Brooke Juniper (Chris), Jordan Feinberg and the absolute joys of his life, his two great granddaughters, Maeve Harriet McCormick and Eleanor Alice Juniper, nieces, nephews, cousins and dozens of friends near and far. His trips to Maine allowed him to meet the babies several times and leave a mark on their young hearts.
A service will be held Tuesday May 14th at 1:45pm Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach. Sid will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7 Boynton Beach. Shiva will be announced at the service.
